Parker’s Tavern launches festive hot chocolate pop-up

This December, Parker’s Tavern will unveil its first seasonal pop-up hot chocolate bar.

Created in collaboration with Cambridgeshire-based vegan chocolate brand Ombar, this pop-up cabin, located at the edge of Parker’s Piece, will launch tomorrow (Thursday, December 1) at 3pm and the first 50 visitors will all receive a free hot chocolate.

An extensive menu of vegan hot chocolates, alongside festive treats from the restaurant, will be available to buy from 3pm to 6pm Monday-Wednesday, 3pm-7pm on Thursday and Friday, 12pm-7pm on Saturdays and 11am-5pm on Sundays throughout December until Christmas.

The pop-up menu features five varieties of vegan hot chocolates created in collaboration with Ombar. These include the original Ombar vegan hot chocolate and the Ombar vegan hot chocolate with sea salt and nibs, priced at £4.50 each.

Those wanting to try something more adventurous will find a spiced hot chocolate with Orris & Son chilli, or a Christmas clementine hot chocolate, priced at £4.75 each. Also available will be hazelnut and oat cream with caramel hazel nibs, priced at £5.

To accompany the drinks, Parker’s Tavern will be serving up traditional freshly roasted chestnuts, and two of their most loved festive afternoon tea characters: a chestnut ‘Snowy Farr’ snowman-shaped macaroon and ‘Rudolph the Red Nose Rocher’ priced at £3.50 and £4.00 respectively.
