Real Eating Company expands to seven stores with Cambridge launch
Real Eating Company, the independent café and coffee concept, has opened its seventh café, in Cambridge - the brand’s first in the city.
With the launch of the café in Cambridge, the Real Eating Company will also introduce its hand-drawn coffee cups to the city. The cup showcases a sketch of one of the most iconic scenes in Cambridge: a punt on the river in front of King’s College. The cups are 100 per cent compostable and made without plastic.
Real Eating Company opened its first site in London on the King’s Road in 2020. The brand expects to grow to more than 10 sites in the coming months.
Helena Hudson, managing director of Real Eating Company - who founded the business in 2004 - said: “I am delighted to open the doors of our first site in Cambridge. It’s been a hugely challenging year for hospitality – operators have shut shop, jobs have been lost, and consumers have missed the joy of going out to eat and drink.
"However, what this year has shown us is that there is a clear space on the high street for local, independently led operators who offer a unique and distinctive proposition.”
Real Eating Company’s Cambridge site is located on Petty Cury and is open from 8am to 5.30pm.
