Team at Parker’s Tavern, Cambridge, creates handmade, gold-coated Easter eggs
The team at Parker’s Tavern, Cambridge, has created handmade, gold-coated Easter eggs just in time for Easter.
The hazelnut-flavoured chocolate eggs will be available to buy from a stand outside the hotel on Regent Street from Thursday, March 30, and will be open 12-5pm on the two weekends in the lead-up to Easter: March 30-April 2 and April 6-9. The eggs will be available to collect from online orders as well as purchased directly from the hut over these two weekends.
The eggs, made by the in-house patisserie chefs at Parker’s Tavern, can also be personalised and six ‘golden tickets’ will be available to find within some of the eggs, with the winners receiving prizes such as an overnight stay, an afternoon tea for two or a bottle of Saffron Grange sparkling wine.
Parker’s Tavern launched in 2018 and is situated in the historic University Arms hotel. It first opened in 1834 as a coaching inn, before relaunching in 2018 after a two-year, £80million transformation by architect John Simpson and interior designer Martin Brudnizki.
