Golpo Bengal Café & Restaurant in Cambridge wins at TMIICAs




The Golpo Bengal Café & Restaurant, which is located on Hills Road in Cambridge, has won the Best Street Food award at this year’s Tommy Miah’s International Indian Chef Competition & Hospitality Awards (TMIICA).

Ziaur Choudhrey, the restaurant’s co-owner, said: “The proof is in the pudding, as they say. Our google and Tripadvisor reviews speaks for itself.

“To be recognised nationally in this short amount of time is a great boost for the team and a proud moment for the Cambridge curry scene.”

Golpo opened its doors in 2023. It came about when its founders were on a trip together and were inspired by the traditional food of Bangladesh and India.
